On the Beach

Last spring I worked on several paintings featuring Calvin in different poses and settings. Here is one of him in two positions that I set on the beach, as if it were two brothers digging in the sand, watching the birds. I prefer to paint from reference photos that I take, so my supply of models is limited. Calvin is a good sport, though.
